The UK’s leading developer of specialised leak detection, water sustainability and environmental protection systems, Andel, is supporting students in need at Barnsley College this Christmas, by donating food packs.

The Pantry, an initiative created by the Student Services department at Barnsley College, is collecting non-perishable food and drink to make up food parcels to support students, apprentices and their families who are in need over the Christmas break.

Over the past two years, Barnsley College has have supported around 300 students and apprentices with food parcels for their families at Christmas and is continuing to provide this essential support.

When Andel was approached by Barnsley College to see if there was any anything Andel could do to support their annual student food collection, Directors and Staff responded accordingly. The team put together three large boxes of food and drink to donate to the Bransley College Christmas Pantry.

Julie Paylor, Head of National Sales at Andel, commented: "The Andel team was more than happy to contribute to this local initiatvive and being able to help young people and their families in need at this time of year is very rewarding for us."

Andel is committed to a strong social agenda and investing in local community projects and charities and has a long history of charitable work, recent examples include Andel volunteers driving to Poland to personally deliver five tonnes of humanitarian aid to Ukraine and a donantion of £1,500 needed to help Yahyay, a Kenyan fisherman to acheive his dream of owning his own boat and supporting his family.
