Andel CellarGuard® is a highly cost-effective solution for residential and smaller commercial properties. Because the system uses conductive probes to detect floodwater, it is 100% reliable compared to systems that rely on float switches, which can often be prone to malfunction.

Andel CellarGuard® comprises a wall-mounted control unit that can be installed at a convenient, accessible location and a robust, stainless-steel pump and sensor unit designed for a cellar, basement floor or shallow sump.

The pump can pump down to a depth of 10mm of floodwater on a flat surface or in a shallow sump, the pump and sensor unit is also fully submersible.

Integrated sensor unit

The floodwater sensor unit, integrated into the pump, uses three conductive probes – a pump start probe, a pump stop probe and a common probe for measuring conductivity between the other probes.

Control unit

The wall-mounted control unit recognises conductivity between the probes. If water is detected between the common probe and the pump start probe, the control unit will automatically activate the pump and will deactivate it when the water level drops below the pump stop probe.

The control unit has a green LED to indicate mains power is on and a red LED indicating the pump is active.

Stainless-steel pump

The pump operates at a typical flow rate of 140 litres per minute at a 3-metre head. There is an option to install a larger capacity pump if required.
