Andel’s HDPE grease separator tanks offer long-term protection, helping you meet legal obligations and environmental best practice
Andel grease separators are designed for underground installation. The density difference between water and grease naturally separates the two as wastewater flows through the separator. Fat and oil particles float on the surface of the wastewater creating a layer of increasing thickness which should be regularly removed, while heavy substances fall to the bottom forming a sludge.
Designed to contain, built to perform, the seamless HDPE body with reinforced ribbing ensures structural integrity under pressure and prevents leaks or contamination. Installation is quicker, safer and more cost-effective than traditional GRP alternatives.

As wastewater flows through the separator, solid food particles settle in the integrated desilter chamber.
Lighter substances such as fats, oils and grease rise to the surface and are trapped in the main separation zone. This process protects downstream drainage and ensures only pre-separated water continues through the system.
Regular maintenance is required to remove accumulated grease and solids – helping you maintain hygiene, efficiency and compliance.
Andel grease separators can be fitted with an optional anti-foaming system to manage foaming caused by wastewater containing potato or vegetable starch. This feature is only required when the separator is combined with a starch separator.
Foaming typically occurs during the discharge of effluent from peeling machines. When the machine starts, a valve – operated manually or automatically – releases running water into the separator. The water is delivered through a spray fitting, helping to suppress foam formation and maintain efficient separator performance.

With over 30 years’ experience, Andel offers full after-sales support including planned emptying schedules and inspections.
Andel recommends fitting high-level grease alarms to monitor tank conditions between maintenance intervals and to prevent overflow or system failure.
All grease separators are compatible with a range of risers, access shafts and manhole cover options to suit different installation depths and surface finishes. Ask for details.
It is designed to separate fats, oils, grease (FOG), and starch from wastewater before it enters the public drainage system, preventing blockages and environmental pollution.
It is ideal for commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, bakeries, school canteens, and food processing facilities that generate FOG and starch.
It works by slowing down the wastewater flow, allowing FOG (being lighter) to float to the surface and starch/solids (being heavier) to sink to the bottom, separating them from the water.
It is a robust, compact, and highly efficient unit with an integrated desilter chamber. The grease separator is easy to install and maintain.
The separator is manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for strength, chemical resistance and long-term reliability.

It helps businesses comply with environmental regulations, reduces the risk of drain blockages and foul odours, and protects public sewers from FOG and starch build-up.
