Rainwater harvesting is the collecting and storing of rainwater from rooftops, gutters and other drainage areas for future use.
Andel rainwater harvesting tanks are installed underground and can be used for a variety of purposes such as irrigation, domestic use and groundwater recharge.
Rainwater harvesting can alleviate water scarcity, reduce the reliance on mains water and promote sustainable water management.
Andel offers a range of rainwater harvesting tanks from 2000 litres to 5000 litres capacity and are available with or without pumps.
Andel rainwater harvesting tanks are built from one-piece, lightweight, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), known for its outstanding strength, high-impact resistance, frost resistance and chemical resiustance. Also with reinforced ribbing and no joints or welds, the strength of the tanks enables cheaper, quicker and easier installation compared to traditional GRP construction.
Water harvesting is environmentally friendly by conserving water resources, reducing stormwater run-off and mitigating the risk of flooding. Using harvested rainwater contributes to greater water security and sustainable development.
Andel rainwater harvesting tanks collect stormwater runoff from roofs and other impervious surfaces, reducing the amount of rainwater that enters our waterways.
Tanks are fitted with an overflow mechanism which means that once a tank is full, excess water is redirected into the stormwater drainage system.
Rainwater harvesting tanks can be part of a garden irrigation system or power supply for domestic sanitary installations.
