Andel Sewage Treatment Plants

Andel Sewage Treatment Plants

Andel Sewage Treatment Plants – the modern, compliant replacement for outdated septic tanks

Untreated sewage poses serious health and pollution risks. Andel’s PRO 6 and PRO 12 STP range use a reliable three-chamber process to clean domestic wastewater before it reaches watercourses or drainage fields, keeping your site compliant and environmentally responsible.

Built to treat, engineered to last

  • Monolithic HDPE construction – seamless, corrosion-resistant and lightweight for quick, safe installation.
  • Three-stage process to meet requirements of EN 12566-3:
    1. Primary sedimentation – heavy solids settle
    2. Aeration chamber (MBBR technology) – external blowers deliver fresh air for aerobic digestion, breaking down organics efficiently
    3. Secondary clarification – remaining solids settle, producing clear effluent suitable for discharge
  • Low energy demand – typically 0.32 kWh/day
  • Automatic control cabinet for worry-free operation

  • Pubs and restaurants in rural locations
  • Caravan and camping parks
  • Farms and agricultural buildings
  • Community buildings – village halls or sports pavilions

  • Construction site welfare facilities

STPs vs Septic Tanks

Septic tanks no longer meet discharge standards. STPs offer full compliance, treat wastewater efficiently, and need less frequent emptying, with long-term reliability.

Scalable solution

While the PRO 6 and PRO 12 models are designed for up to 6 and 12 people respectively, they can be installed in multiples with connected pipework to increase capacity.

This modular approach offers scalable wastewater treatment for larger sites without the need for oversized single units.

Regulatory compliance

  • BS EN 12566-3 – Packaged wastewater treatment
  • Building Regulations Part H – Drainage & waste disposal
  • Environment Agency – General Binding Rules (small discharges)
  • Water Industry Act s.111 – Offence to discharge pollutants
  • British Water – Flows & loads Code of Practice
