The Floodline® DP01 Pipe-in-Pipe Oil Sensor is designed for liquid and oil leak detection in double containment cavities in pipes and tanks. The DP01 was developed by Andel in collaboration with Durapipe, one of the world’s largest double containment pipework manufacturers.
DP01 can work as part of a stand-alone leak detection system or can be connected singly or in multiples to any Floodline® Control Panel as part of a larger leak detection installation.
The sensor uses infra-red technology to detect the presence of any liquid touching the sensor dome. When liquid is detected in a double-containment cavity the relay within the local control unit will turn off which is detected by a monitoring system or a Floodline® Control Panel. The relay will also turn off if the sensor becomes disconnected or if there is a power failure.
The sensor consists of two components, the sensor head and the control box. The control box is the interface between a central Floodline® Control Panel or other monitoring system capable of monitoring volt-free contacts. The sensor head is encapsulated and supplied in either a 0.5 inch or 1 inch BSP socket for fitting into the outer pipe at the lowest point or within a specially fitted catchpot. Both the sensor and the control box are IP65 rated.
The Floodline® DP01 Pipe-in-Pipe Oil Sensor is a multiple re-use product with instant return to use after wiping clean following a leak detection.
