FlowStop® 2 has four programmable settings for shutting off the water supply and preventing water leaks:

Continuous flow protection: 1 to 120 minutes (user adjustable)
Exessive flow rate protection: 5 to 40 litres per minute (user adjustable)
Low temperature freeze protection: 0ºC to 5ºC (user adjustable)
Non-use protection: 1 to 48 hours (user adjustable)

When a property is empty

FlowStop® 2 isolates the water supply if no water is used for a pre-set period set by the user, automatically covering for periods when a property is temporarily vacated. This is useful for preventing leaks in empty properties going unchecked with potentially serious consequences.

Option to add leak detection sensors

There is also an option to add water leak detection sensors such as Andel’s FlexiPad, leak detection cable and tape for more localised monitoring in critical areas such as kitchens, utility rooms, bathrooms, showers and WCs.

Mute and reset

When the system goes into alarm, audible alarms can be silenced by pressing the mute button. When the problem has been checked and resolved, the system can be reset by holding the mute button for three seconds and the water supply will start to flow again.

Valve Unit

Time-out continuous flow protection: Shuts off the water supply if water has been running for more than 1-120 minutes (user adjustable).
Excessive flow rate protection: Shuts off the water supply if there is an abnormal flow of water between 5 and 40 litres per minute (user adjustable).
Low temperature freeze protection: Shuts off the water supply if the temperature falls between 0 and 5ºC (user adjustable).
Non-use protection: Isolates the water supply if no water has been used for 1-48 hours (user adjustable).

Control Unit:

Faceplate: Discreet double-gang faceplate featuring backlit 2-digit LCD display, Status LED light and 4 navigation buttons for easy set-up. Can be surface mounted or flush mounted using a standard back box.
Reset button: Mute button resets the system following activation and allows water to flow again when the problem has been resolved.
Override feature: Turns flow monitoring off to allow for prolonged water use such as watering the garden.
Optional leak detection sensors: Can be added to detect water leaks in vulnerable areas such as in kitchens under sinks, washing machines and dishwashers, bathrooms and WCs.
Power supply: Mains power 110-240Vac
Output: Volt-free relay contact rated 30V @1A per input.

Maintenance

The system performs an automatic solenoid exercise to avoid the build up of limescale. A yearly inspection is recommended by a qualified engineer to ensure the correct operation of the system.
