Sustainable, cost-effective and WRAS approved, Andel FlowStop® 2 automatically isolates your water supply in the event of abnormal flow activity or the risk of freezing pipes. FlowStop® 2 can be installed in new builds and retrofitted into existing and occupied buildings.
FlowStop® consists of a control unit and a valve unit, which includes an integrated latching solenoid valve and a flow rate sensor. It actively monitors the water supply to a property, helping to detect and prevent leaks.
FlowStop® 2 isolates the water supply if no water is used for a pre-set period set by the user, automatically covering for periods when a property is temporarily vacated. This is useful for preventing leaks in empty properties going unchecked with potentially serious consequences.
There is also an option to add water leak detection sensors such as Andel’s FlexiPad, leak detection cable and tape for more localised monitoring in critical areas such as kitchens, utility rooms, bathrooms, showers and WCs.
Option to download the Andel CloudConnect® App providing building owners and managers access to a secure, web-based portal for centralised management of FlowStop® 2 installations and any Andel leak detection sensors. Users can instantly view any devices in alarm mode, pinpointing the location (automatic shut-off valves, are triggered to prevent damage). The portal offers customisable access levels, ensuring robust security, e.g. managers, engineers, tenants, and administrators have access only to specific, necessary areas, while owners can retain full system access.
When the system goes into alarm, audible alarms can be silenced by pressing the mute button. When the problem has been checked and resolved, the system can be reset by holding the mute button for three seconds and the water supply will start to flow again.
The system performs an automatic solenoid exercise to avoid the build up of limescale. A yearly inspection is recommended by a qualified engineer to ensure the correct operation of the system.
