The unit periodically checks detectors in the network for gas leaks, which is when the preset gas concentration levels are exceeded. In the event of a gas leak, the opto-acoustic alarm is activated, output relays become active and any attached signalling devices are activated.
Alarm information is via industry standard RS485.
The unit controls up to 224 detectors and up to 21 control units over a limit of seven zones. Communication with detectors is via RS485, standard galvanically separated. A second RS485 channel allows communication with other external control systems.
The unit is ready to mount on a standard TS35 rail cabinet and requires 24VDC supply. The control unit has an LED indicator and is equipped with a face-mounted keyboard. Configuration of the module settings can be set up manually through the MDD-256/T master control module or alternatively with special configuration software on a PC.
