SumpGuard® provides additional protection to Andel's BundGuard® system when installed in oil storage environments that are susceptible to freezing temperatures.
The SumpGuard® system automatically monitors and modulates the temperature in the sump 24/7 with a fully submersible heating element that prevents water in the sump from freezing. SumpGuard® allows the BundGuard® system to operate to full efficiency ensuring bunded areas remain free of water wherever there is a risk of freezing weather conditions.
The industry-unique SumpGuard® system has been developed by Andel in response to site operators across Europe requiring a hassle-free solution to the challenges of operating efficiently and fully compliant in freezing conditions.

SumpGuard® is energy efficient, only using enough energy to prevent water in the sump from freezing – and automatically switching the low-energy heating element off when not required.
SumpGuard® is easy to fit and suited to both new and retrofit installations.
The control unit can be installed near to the sump and the BundGuard® control panel, the heating element is housed in a bracket at the base of the BundGuard® submersible sensor unit, within the sump.
The heating element is a 230Vac, 300W ceramic unit, drawing approximately 1.3 amps.
The heating element activates at a factory default of +5ºC air temperature, with user-adjustable capability.
The control panel requires a 230Vac supply at 2 amps maximum, with integral RCD and over-current protection.
The control panel measures 285mm (W) x 235mm (H) x 112mm (D) and has an IP68 ABS enclosure.
SumpGuard® is designed to protect a sump with dimensions of 600mm x 600mm x 600mm (0.216 m³ volume) from freezing.
